About the event

May 19, 2024

Come honor of the cycles of the seasons together, connect and deepen in relationship with the elements of nature that guide all life.

Spring is associated with the element of wood in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and the elements of earth and water in Ayurveda. These are very structural elements that will hold what we are growing for the rest of the year. The element of the next season in both TCM and Ayurveda is fire, and the structure we build now will determine how we work with the heat that is approaching. With mindful attention we can prepare the gardens of our lives to flourish and grow with the waters, the warmth, the light, and the energy that will grace us in the coming seasons.

In this workshop we will pay attention to what is present for each of us in this part of the sun cycle, to reflect on where we are coming from, where we are, and give attention to where we are heading. This workshop is meant to orient us in time and space according to the season and notice what elements are most present right now so that we can be in greater harmony with nature, creating more ease in our lives. I will be offering some cyclical wisdom and teachings on the elements of this season, time to reflect on what seed you would like to plant this day, a light movement practice followed by yoga nidra meditation to prepare your internal landscape and deliberately plant the seed, and a song to bring a celebratory and prayerful element to this process. This will be followed by an open discussion to share insights and deepen awareness of nature and our place in it, and to connect with community in an intentional way.

Recommended donation for this 3 hour workshop is $45-75. The sky is the limit! And of course if you really want to join and money is the only obstacle, please reach out to me directly by email so we can make an arrangement for you.

Once registered you will receive the zoom link and an email with some preparation prompts and info.
